FHPS Hosts Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Aquatic Center, Dec. 17

December 2, 2025 Posted In: FHPS District News

The FHPS community is invited to join us on Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 3 p.m. in the FHPS Fine Arts Center lobby for a groundbreaking ceremony of the new aquatic center. Join us and be a part of history as we formally break ground on the new
aquatic center. Attendees will have the opportunity to sign a steel beam that will be permanently installed in the facility, and the first 100 guests will receive a commemorative swim kickboard. There will be a short program inside, followed by a ceremonial turning of the dirt outside at the build site. Light refreshments will be served. This state-of-the-art center represents the culmination of strong community support of the 2023 bond proposal, and will serve generations of athletes and community members for decades to come. To see architectural drawings of the new facility and to take a virtual tour of the spaces, visit our web page dedicated to bond construction projects.
