FHE Senior Receives Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award

November 20, 2025 Posted In: FHPS District News

Maria Christopoulous, a senior at Forest Hills Eastern High School, received the Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award from the National Association of Fundraising Professionals (West Michigan Chapter) for her work with Kids Food Basket. Maria was honored at a luncheon at Frederick Meijer Gardens along with other community philanthropy honorees. According to the chapter’s website, West Michigan’s National Philanthropy Day (NPD) recognizes outstanding achievements by individuals, foundations, corporate philanthropists, fundraising volunteers, and professional fundraisers. These awards recognize those individuals and organizations whose lifetime, long-term, and emerging achievements have made a significant impact on society. To learn more about her impact with Kids Food Basket, watch the presentation video.
