Melissa Morley, Forest Hills Eastern High School teacher, was recognized by 13 On Your Side as Teacher of the Week. She is in her 33rd year of teaching and has been with Forest Hills since 1998. “I grew up on the east side of the state and as an undergraduate, I knew pretty early on I wanted to work in education,” said Morley. She also knew she wanted to teach in Spanish. “I had a lot of Spanish classes, which gave me some opportunities to travel, and it has been an amazing career since then. You can do anything in a Spanish class; you just do it in Spanish.” She said the students can do just about anything with those skills. “They have an amazing opportunity to study, to travel, to work in Spanish.” Learn more about Morley and how she sets the bar high for herself and her students at FHE with the online story with WZZM13.
